Snake Lake Brewing began as a passion project fueled by the determination of three friends — a rig hand, an instrumentation technician, and a mechanic. In 2017, they made the bold decision to leave their jobs in the oil patch and fully dedicate themselves to crafting good beer, fostering great friendships, and building a thriving business. After careful research and evaluation of their options, they chose to purchase a complete 30bbl brewery system from Tiantai Company. This comprehensive setup includes a grain mill, flexible auger, a 30bbl two-vessel brewhouse, eight 30bbl fermentation tanks, one 30bbl bright beer tank, a 4000L glycol water tank, a 7000L cold liquor tank, a control panel, a 300L CIP cart, and various other essential components.
With this state-of-the-art equipment, they transformed the old Napa Auto Parts building in Sylvan Lake into the craft brewery of their dreams. What started as a small project has quickly grown into a promising venture — and for Snake Lake Brewing, this is just the beginning of an exciting journey in the world of craft beer.
