Tiantai primary and secondary beer fermentation tank

Tiantai company offers several types of the fermentors intended to the primary and secondary beer fermentation. Cylindrical beer maturation tanks are designed to the production of the traditional lager beers. Universal cylindrical conical fermenation tanks are the modern beer fermentation technology. We offer also simplified cylindrical or conical fermentors with affordable price, pressure stainless steel barrels, and some other types of the fermentation vessels as well.

Entire beer fermentation process includes two phases : The primary beer fermentation and the secondary beer fermentation.

What is the primary fermentation ?
The wort boiling process, which is the first phase of the production cycle of beer, is followed by a second phase, called the fermentation process. Fermentation of wort is a manifestation of metabolism of brewer yeast, which is added after the oxidation to the wort immediately after it is cooled to the fermentation temperature and pumped from the brewhouse to fermentation vessels.

Primary beer fermentation process :
The task of brewer yeast in the primary fermentation stage is to convert part of the sugars in the wort into alcohol. At the set degree of fermentation the fermentation process is interrupted (not to be the full conversion of 100 % sugar).

What is the secondary fermentation ?
The wort brewing process, which is the first phase of the beer production, is followed by a second phase, called the beer fermentation process. Fermentation of wort is a manifestation of metabolism of brewer´s yeast. Yeast is added to wort after the oxidation of the wort immediately after it is cooled to the fermentation temperature and pumped from the brewhouse wort machine to the fermentation vessels.

Secondary beer fermentation process:

After the primary fermentation so-called young or green beer is pumped into another container, wherein continuing secondary beer fermentation process has a lower intensity, but at a lower temperature and higher pressure, while the beer is saturated with carbon dioxide. This part of the fermentation process is called maturation of beer, also known as the lagering process of beer.

Different beer fermentors Tiantai provided:
Opened top fermentation vats – non-covered fermentors for primary fermentation.
Non-pressure cylindrical conical fermentation tanks are suited only for the primary fermentation, pressure fermenters usable for both primary and secondary fermentation of beer.

Cylindrical pressured conical fermentation tanks – universal fermenters which allows both primary and secondary fermentation in the same vessel.
With insulation, with the glycol cooling jacket. Maximal pressure 2.5bar.
