Which types of heat exchanger is more fit for my brewery equipment？

During wort cooling, we need heat exchanger to achieve wort cooling. Wort will be cooled to 12℃ to reach fermentation temperature. And then, pumped the wort into your fermenters. But, do you know which types of heat exchanger is more fit for your brewery equipment? Or how can I choose suitable heat exchanger for my beer equipment?

There are 2 types of heat exchanger for optional, included single stage and two stage heat exchanger. Honestly, it is easy to choose. If you have a cold water tank in your brewery or you only have cold water or city water in your brewery, you could choose single stage one.

For the single stage heat exchanger, hot wort will be only cooled by cold water or city water. Hot wort go through single heat exchanger and cooled by cold water or city water. After wort cooling, wort reached the fermentation terperature and will be pumped into fermentation tank, and the cold water or city water is heated and pumped into hot water tank for next brewing.

For the two stage heat exchanger, wort will be cooled by cold water and the glycol water, means that you need a cold water tank and a glycol water tank. Hot wort will be cooled by cold water first and cooled by glycol water second. You can recycle the glycol water for next brewing.
